Dalit Youth were Trained on Agro - Ecology

At the Kaverirajapuram village the Dalit youth were organized and trained about agriculture. Some youths are unemployed and some are working with companies. After school education they don’t show interest to work in the fields and to produce their own foods. Through Field Learning Sites of SRED helped the youth to understand how important to produce food and how challenging this to today’s food insecurity felt in the communities.

At Pallur Dalit Women Collective Farm school youth are invited to plant saplings and to be involved in agriculture work.  SRED is training youth from the schools to know about the concept of Agroecology, the importance of agriculture and after training at Field Learning Sites the school children promised that they will be go home to start the kitchen gardens.
